More on The Week in Comics -- Christopher Butcher has updated Previews Review and recommends some of the same titles I do this week; I also like his suggestion that Joe Casey should read Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life. Joe Casey, and everyone else, come to think of it...

Recommended Reading -- Here's a few highlights from what's shipping on Wednesday that I'd recommend if you're looking for a good read.

ABOVE & BELOW TWO TALES O/T AMERICAN FRONTIER; $9.95. Wonderful stories by James Sturm of THE GOLEM'S MIGHTY SWING and UNSTABLE MOLECULES fame.

BIPOLAR #1 (ALTERNATIVE COMICS PRINTING); $2.95. This is a fantastic book, hard to describe but having #1 back in print is a real gift and it should not be missed.

JAY'S DAYS VOL 3 GN; $10.99. Former Galaxy contributor Jason Marcy's newest and best graphic novel, detailing in excruciating detail his problems flirting with
high school girls at work while preparing to become a father for the
first time. Funny, very real stuff.

LAST HEROES HC; $18.95. Steven Grant and Gil Kane's superhero series, presented in full for the first time. I have the three (out of four) issues that were
originally published, and have literally been waiting years for this
to be released, so, yay!

LOVE & ROCKETS VOL 2 #12; $4.50. Always a must-buy for me.

MAGE VOL 1 THE HERO DISCOVERED HC; $49.95. Whoo, expensive. But as I recall from reading when these were originally released, good, strong superhero stuff. If you won the lottery recently, you might consider giving it a look.

REMAINS TP; $19.99. The other good zombie comic of 2004.

STREET ANGEL #4; $2.95. The best new series of 2004. Jim Rugg seems to think this one will piss everyone off. Can't wait to find out why!
