The Quest -- Here's my favourite photo from Free Comic Book Day 2005:

My son Aaron searching the spinner rack for more, more, more, his bag already weighted down with comics. This, then, is the nature of The Quest.
Also Today -- Over at the main site is the fourth installment of Shawn Hoke's awesome SIZE MATTERS column on mini-comics. Hard to believe we're four columns in to the new version of the site, but I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work our writers are doing, so click on over and give 'em all a look, eh?

Say, that looks an awful lot like Albany's own Earthworld Comics located on Central Avenue. Do I get a "No Prize"?
Aaron,
Forsooth, True Believer, you do indeed have The Eye of Odin! And rumour has it he'd like it back...
;-)

Woo-hoo! It looks like Aaron's eyeballing my Mortal Coils book up there at the top of the spinner rack -- I love this picture, too!! :-)
(Er, was it up at the top to keep away from the impressionable minds on short legs whom might be corrupted by it...? Yeah. Sounds about right. Archie' s up there, too, after all.)
dave,
Nay. If you look closely, you'll realize that young Aaron is actually peeking AROUND the corner of the spinner rack, and slyly making his way toward the alternative comics section located (but sorely unpictured) to the far right of the photograph. That kid's got TASTE!
